HOW TO GET TO PEÑÍSCOLA BY CAR
Peñíscola is located in the northern part of the province of Castellón, a few kilometers from the provincial capital to the south and the border with Catalonia to the north. The City of the Sea has a couple of entrances to the town. The least common is the one coming from Benicarló, the neighboring town to the north, through a major road named Carretera Vieja Peñíscola-Benicarló (CV-140) until reaching a roundabout where you can take the road towards the city center.
The most common way to get to Peñíscola is via exit CV-141 on the Mediterranean Highway. If you are coming from the north, whether Barcelona, Zaragoza or any other town in the area, take the exit on the left to enter the town directly. If you are coming from the center or south of the peninsula, from Andalusia, Murcia, Castilla La Mancha or even Madrid, the most common way is to join the Mediterranean Highway at some point and drive up to Peñíscola, taking the indicated exit.
