Actividades en Peñíscola

The various activities scheduled by the Municipal Tourism Board for this summer in Peñíscola are enjoying great popularity among visitors to the town. This is the case with the aerobics and Zumba sessions, which take place from Monday to Friday at 9:00 a.m. on Playa Norte, next to the Peñíscola Tourist Info office, and in Peñísmar on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:00 p.m.

Activities for children have also been organised, including workshops and entertainment on Playa Norte, next to the main Tourist Office, every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and in Peñísmar every Friday at the same time.

One of the most popular events every year is the open-air summer cinema on Playa Sur, held every Friday at 10:30 p.m., where recent family-friendly films are screened.
This year’s programme includes titles such as Wish: The Power of Wishes, Padre no hay más que uno 4, Del revés 2 and Dune: Part Two, among others, shown weekly throughout July and August.

Cultural events and official summer festivals

In addition to beach sports and leisure activities, Peñíscola hosts several highly regarded cultural events every year, attracting audiences from across Spain and abroad.

Peñíscola Classical Theatre Festival

Held at Peñíscola Castle, the festival will celebrate its 28th edition from 7 to 20 July 2025, featuring classical performances in the parade ground such as Ifigenia, Hamlet.02, Los cuernos de Don Friolera and La reina brava.

Peñíscola International Jazz Festival

The International Jazz Festival returns from 2 to 6 July 2025, with jazz concerts at the Congress Palace and Plaza Santa María, making it a key event for music lovers.

Hondarribia–Peñíscola International Guitar Festival

This music festival, featuring soloists and guitar specialists, takes place from 20 to 23 August 2025 at the Castle, offering evening concerts in a unique setting.

International Early and Baroque Music Festival

Peñíscola also hosts the International Early and Baroque Music Festival, with historical music concerts at venues such as the Castle from late July to early August, completing the summer musical programme.
