Peñíscola Town Council

The Peñíscola Town Council is the institution responsible for managing the administration and public services of the municipality. It is located at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, 1, right in the heart of the town.

Municipal management is organised across several departments and buildings, each specialised in specific functions to provide efficient service to both residents and visitors to Peñíscola.

Citizen Service Office (SAC)

The Citizen Service Office (SAC) is one of the main points of contact between citizens and the Town Council. It is located at Calle dels Llandells, No. 5 and centralises key procedures such as:

• Registration of documents addressed to the Town Council

• Population register procedures (registrations, deregistrations, certificates, etc.)

• Cadastre and municipal taxes

• Collection services of the Provincial Council of Castellón

This service provides close and direct attention to the public and acts as the first point of information and processing for many municipal procedures.

Main Town Hall Building

At the main headquarters, located at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, 1, the different municipal departments are distributed by floors:

• Departments of Health, Social Welfare, Women and Education

• Departments of Culture, Sports, Festivities, Youth and Citizen Participation

• Intervention and Accounting

These offices form the administrative heart of the Town Council, where political, administrative and financial matters of the municipality are managed.

Casa del Gobernador Building

Also known as the House of Culture, this building, located at Calle Don Juan José Fulladosa, 29, houses departments related to urban planning and other technical functions of the Town Council:

• Department of Urban Planning and Public Works

• Heritage

• Environment and Beaches

• Activities and Linguistic Normalisation

It is a complementary space to the main headquarters, enabling the management of projects, licences and urban development planning for the town.

Local Police and Justice of the Peace Court

The offices of the Peñíscola Local Police and the Justice of the Peace Court are located in the Pompeya II Building, at Calle Madrid, 1. This building also houses the Department of Governance, Police and Environment.

The Local Police provide citizen security services, traffic control and emergency assistance, while the Justice of the Peace Court handles local civil judicial matters.
