The Chapel of Sant Antoni
The Chapel of Sant Antoni is a small roadside shrine located on the outskirts of Peñíscola, next to the road leading to the Ermita de Sant Antoni. It is situated along the well-known Avenida Ermita de Sant Antoni, the road that climbs from the Nerea Residential Area and leads to one of the most emblematic religious and scenic landmarks of Peñíscola.
This simple white structure stands beside the Barranc de l'Obús, at a highly recognizable point along the route to the hermitage. Although modest in size, it is a traditional feature of the path and a familiar landmark for hikers, cyclists, and visitors travelling towards Sant Antoni.
Unlike the hermitage located higher up the mountain, the Capelleta does not have any facilities or recreational areas. It is simply a small devotional shrine located at the roadside, blending harmoniously into the characteristic Mediterranean landscape of the surrounding natural environment.
