Torrenova Beach is one of the most unique and tranquil coves in the municipality of Peñíscola, located at the southernmost end of its municipal area, within the Sierra de Irta Natural Park and very close to the border with Alcossebre (Alcoceber).

This beach stands out for its natural and uncrowded character, making it a perfect destination for those seeking disconnection and close contact with the most authentic Mediterranean environment.

Torrenova is approximately 250 metres long and has an average width of around 15 metres. Its surface is mainly composed of pebbles and small stones, giving it a rustic appearance that clearly distinguishes it from Peñíscola’s large sandy beaches.

Unlike the more accessible urban beaches, reaching Torrenova is a more adventurous experience, as it requires a walk of about 500 metres from the main road that connects Peñíscola with Alcossebre through the Sierra de Irta, following natural paths that cross an exceptional Mediterranean landscape. This route is considered a short excursion that rewards visitors with an almost unspoilt cove at the end.

Its isolation and more difficult access are precisely part of its charm: the absence of crowds, the peaceful surroundings and the calm sea make it ideal for spending a day away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Although it does not offer extensive beach services, it is signposted and regularly cleaned to keep the area in good condition, and its low occupancy allows visitors to enjoy a very natural and relaxed atmosphere.

Torrenova’s location, right in the heart of the Sierra de Irta Natural Park, also offers the opportunity to combine swimming with hiking routes and exploration of this protected area, where the contrasts between mountains and sea create a spectacular landscape.
