Mas d’en Joan Zoological Park

At this educational farm, located between Peñíscola and Benicarló and just a few metres from the beaches and the seafront promenade, you can enjoy a wide variety of activities for all ages — from the youngest to the oldest. Activities are suitable for families, groups, couples, friends, school excursions and birthday parties.

We offer workshops dedicated to bread and biscuit making, ceramics and carpentry, herbalism and vegetable gardening, as well as the care and washing of some animals such as ponies. All workshops are freely chosen.

There is also the possibility of visiting the farm independently, where you will find exhibitions of old carts and all kinds of traditional farming and livestock tools, the ethnological museum of the farmhouse and orchard, and all the animals that make up our farm, such as geese, ducks, sheep, goats, emus, horses, ponies, rabbits, llamas, ostriches, etc. You can also enjoy carriage and horse-drawn cart rides.

For school excursions, birthdays or any type of celebration, there is the option of hiring a monitor to ensure better organisation.

We also organise summer camps with different schedules to choose from, as well as medieval events and trade fairs.

If you prefer not to worry about mealtimes and enjoy a relaxed day, we prepare breakfasts, lunches and afternoon snacks with prior reservation and an extensive menu to choose from. We also offer visit or activity + meal/snack packages at a better price. Alternatively, we have picnic and barbecue areas with firewood provided, so you can bring your own food and enjoy the day at your own pace, all with Wi-Fi access.

Don’t forget to visit our Farmer’s Market, where you can buy our own fresh, locally produced goods such as oils, honey, eggs, and a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Orders and purchases can be made at the farm or directly by phone or email.

Summer opening hours are Monday to Sunday from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In winter, mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; during this period, prior reservation is recommended.
