Peñíscola has concluded the Easter holiday period with positive results in both hotel occupancy and tourist activity. This was confirmed by the Councillor for Tourism, Ramón Simó, who, after verifying the figures with the local Tourism Business Association (Agretur), stated that nearly all available accommodation was booked during the initial days of the holiday.
Simó highlighted that the religious events, cultural activities, and the destination’s wide and varied range of complementary offerings "proved to be a major attraction, successfully countering the less favorable weather forecasts we had in the days leading up to the celebrations." He also emphasized the good weather that ultimately prevailed during the festivities in the City in the Sea.
Throughout this week, coinciding with school holidays in the Valencian Community and the San Vicente long weekend, Peñíscola has maintained occupancy rates ranging between 75% and 85% until Friday, surpassing 90% for the upcoming weekend.
