January 26, 2026 - 16:01
Peñíscola is already getting ready to experience one of the most anticipated winter events: Carnival 2026, which will take place from February 6th to 8th, featuring a full program of activities designed for all audiences.
The celebration will begin on Friday, February 6th with a children’s party starting at 6:00 p.m. in the festival tent located on the port esplanade. Later in the evening, the atmosphere will continue with a lively costume dance, scheduled for 12:30 a.m. in the same venue.
Saturday, February 7th will be one of the main days of Carnival, as the highly anticipated parade of comparsas will take place in the afternoon at 7:30 p.m. The route will pass through some of the city’s main streets, starting at Sant Isidre Square and continuing along Blasco Ibáñez, Mestre Bayarri, Constitución Square, and the avenues of d’Espanya, de la Mar, and Doctor Marcelino Roca, ending at the Centro de Estudios. The day will conclude with a costume dance at midnight in the port tent, where a themed mobile disco will keep the night going.
Carnival will continue on Sunday, February 8th with a second parade of comparsas following the same route starting at 5:30 p.m. As a grand finale, especially for children, a popular hot chocolate gathering will be offered after the parade in the festival tent on the port esplanade, with the collaboration of Hermanos Domingo Churrería.
With music, costumes, parade groups, and activities for the whole family, Peñíscola Carnival will once again fill the streets with color and joy, establishing itself as one of the most outstanding festive events on the local calendar.
