Peñíscola continues to highlight its Christmas charm with a renewed programme of activities. Throughout this weekend, the municipality’s Tourism Department has proposed a new incentive to visit the city: a Christmas video mapping show that has filled a large section of the Renaissance walls of the citadel with light, sound and colour.
With several showings scheduled each afternoon, this Sunday it is also possible to enjoy this audiovisual narrative projected onto the stone canvas, transporting residents and visitors to the North Pole and the largest toy factory in the world.
The show also includes drawings by the children who won the CEIP Jaime Sanz Christmas drawing competition, which make their way into the hands of Santa Claus, who dedicates a special message to them.
“With this new proposal we complete the programme for the month of December so that every weekend and public holiday there are activities that complement the Christmas lighting,” said the councillor for the area, Ramón Simó. He also recalled that the Christmas lighting is already a “very powerful” attraction in itself, with new features every year, and that it “continues to attract and surprise thousands of people who come to enjoy it.”
The Christmas video mapping can be seen this afternoon after nightfall in four showings, each lasting more than ten minutes.
