Peñíscola’s gastronomy is promoted during the Magdalena Festivities in Castellón.
March 12, 2026 - 14:03
The Gastronomic Association of Peñíscola held a show cooking event at the Colla del Rei Barbut in Castellón, within the framework of the Magdalena festivities.
Chefs from Peñíscola prepared and offered a tasting of more than 300 tapas at this emblematic Colla, made with typical products from the local cuisine of the City by the Sea.
Among the dishes served was a tapa featuring local seafood and two skewers: a toast with vegetables from local gardens and smoked mackerel, and another with avocado and white prawns from the town’s fish market. These creations delighted the attendees, who were also served by a very special waiter: the city’s mayor, Andrés Martínez, who accompanied the Peñíscola delegation at this event promoting the town’s local gastronomy.
