The Centre de Salut de Peñíscola is the main public primary healthcare centre in Peñíscola, managed by the Regional Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health and belonging to the Vinaròs Health Department.

The centre provides healthcare services in family and community medicine, paediatrics and nursing for both the local population and visitors. It also offers a basic emergency service, ensuring immediate medical attention when required. In the event of more serious emergencies, patients can contact the 061 emergency service or go to the Vinaròs District Hospital, located approximately 14 km from Peñíscola.

• General healthcare (appointments required): usually from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

• Emergency service: available 24 hours a day, every day, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

In addition, during the summer months, auxiliary health centres are usually available in different parts of the town (such as Avenida Papa Luna and Peñismar), with extended or adapted opening hours to meet the increase in population and seasonal healthcare demand.
