Peniscola maze

The Peñíscola Maze is a unique and recently created attraction that has quickly become a major outdoor leisure destination in the area—officially recognized as the largest plant maze in Spain and one of the largest in Europe.
It covers an area of 7,000 m² and features around 3 kilometers of pathways, all designed with a complex green structure that encourages visitors to wander, explore different routes, and discover hidden corners along the way.

The maze is made up of 4,000 Japanese privet plants (Ligustrum japonicum) forming its green corridors. At its center lies a landscaped square of Photinia Red Robin shrubs, where a large dinosaur sculpture adds an impressive visual element.

Beyond the maze itself, the venue includes several recreational facilities such as parking, a children’s area, a separate mini-maze for kids, a football field, play zones, a bar terrace, shaded seating areas, a zip line, and various spaces designed for rest and family-friendly fun.

There are also several dinosaur sculptures crafted by the project’s creators, which add a playful and eye-catching touch, especially for younger visitors.

Opening hours

In summer—from June 24 to September 15—the maze is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, except on Mondays.
During the rest of the year, it opens on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
