Citizen Service Office (SAC)

The Citizen Service Office (SAC) of Peñíscola is a municipal office created with the aim of centralising and simplifying relations between citizens and the local public administration. It is designed as a single point of contact where residents can carry out administrative procedures related to the Town Council in a direct and accessible way.

The SAC is located at Calle dels Llandells, 5, very close to the Congress Palace, and is open to the public from Monday to Friday in the morning.

Numerous procedures essential to the administrative life of residents and visitors are managed at these offices, including:

• The general register for documents addressed to the Town Council.

• Population register services, such as registrations, deregistrations and data updates, as well as the issuing of certificates or registration confirmations.

• The Rents and Cadastre Department, which deals with matters related to municipal taxes and cadastral management.

• The Tax Collection Service of the Provincial Council of Castellón, responsible for the management and collection of taxes and other local revenues, provided at the SAC through agreements with the Provincial Council.

In addition to these main services, the SAC provides municipal information, the reception and delivery of documentation, the initiation of administrative procedures, the issuing of electronic signature certificates and other procedures related to citizens’ day-to-day dealings with the local administration.

With the implementation of the SAC, the Peñíscola Town Council has made progress in the modernisation of its services, offering more convenient and direct access to different departments and administrative procedures from a single point of contact.
