Town Hall – House of Culture

The Casa de la Cultura of Peñíscola, also known as the Governor’s House, is a historic building located in the old town of the city that currently houses municipal offices and spaces made available to local cultural associations.

Although it is not a cultural centre with a permanent artistic programme, as is the case in other towns, this building plays an important role by providing spaces for activities organised by various cultural associations in Peñíscola, such as the Andalusian Cultural Centre or the Papa Luna Music Band, among others, which use its rooms for meetings, rehearsals and cultural outreach activities.

In addition, the Casa de la Cultura serves as the headquarters for several departments of the Peñíscola Town Council (Urban Planning Department) and the IVAJ, making it a reference point both for municipal management and for the development of cultural initiatives promoted by the local community itself.
